Program “Telur Moe”: Inovasi MPM PP Muhammadiyah Berdayakan Difabel di Sektor Peternakan
28 September 2024 ● by Admin JatamYOGYAKARTA – Terinspirasi dari konsep “Telur Bahagia” di Swiss, Majelis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (MPM) Muhammadiyah mengembangkan program pemberdayaan telur ayam berkualitas tinggi bernama “Telurmoe”. Di Swiss, harga telur dipengaruhi oleh kesejahteraan ayam petelur, dengan prinsip bahwa semakin bahagia ayamnya, semakin tinggi harga telurnya.
Ketua MPM PP Muhammadiyah, M. Nurul Yamin, menjelaskan bahwa pemberdayaan ini tidak hanya mengadopsi konsep “telur bahagia”, tetapi juga berfokus pada kaum dhuafa dan difabel. Program ini dirancang agar penyandang disabilitas dapat terlibat dalam produksi telur fungsional dengan pendampingan dari MPM.
Yamin menekankan pentingnya kesejahteraan hewan dalam proses ini, dengan harapan telur yang dihasilkan sehat dan berkualitas tinggi. Ayam petelur dipelihara dengan cara yang sehat, sehingga telur yang dihasilkan memiliki nilai kesehatan dan ekonomi yang tinggi.
Kandang peternakan juga didesain khusus untuk mendukung kesejahteraan ayam sekaligus memudahkan kaum difabel dalam berternak. Sejak dimulai pada 2023, program “Telurmoe” telah memberikan dampak positif: meningkatkan kepercayaan diri difabel, membentuk kelembagaan ekonomi untuk pemasaran telur, dan meningkatkan pendapatan para pelaku usaha.
Program ini telah diterima dengan baik oleh masyarakat dan menarik berbagai pihak untuk bermitra dengan MPM guna terus mengembangkan usaha telur ayam fungsional yang melibatkan kelompok difabel.
